Ala Moana, Waikiki and Diamond Head

Everything in Symmetry

Earth and water. Old and new. Work and play.
Waihonua is all things in absolute balance.

This Hawaiian name translates as "waters of the earth." Fitting, as this area was once made up of ponds that produced fish with salt pans and taro fields on the horizon. And today, the ocean still washes onto the shore nearby.

It was a place on the island of O‘ahu where aloha flourished and people had a special connection to the ‘āina or land, nature and each other.

Waihonua incorporates the ponds, the natural elements of the islands and the spirit of that bygone era, creating not only a wonderful living memory, but a wonderful place to live.
